Terrible accident in Russia
Today is a sad day. There are two national sports in Sweden, football and ice hockey. The goaltender Stefan Liv was awarded Guldpucken (ice hockey player of the year in Sweden) in 2008. He won both an Olympic gold medal and World Championships in 2006. This summer he signed a contract to play for the Russian team Lokomotiv Yaroslavl.
Today Lokomotiv Yaroslavl was travelling to their season premiere against Minsk. Their plane crashed and it is said that only 43 out of the 45 passengers are confirmed to be dead at this moment. It is confirmed that Stefan Liv is among the victims, the list of victims also contain Pavol Demitra, Slovakia and Ruslan Salei, Belarus.
