Oosterhout
Many exchange students spend their weekends travelling to get to know new places. So did I this weekend, for the first time of my life I visited the little city Oosterhout for an away game with TSVV Merlijn 2. We played against TSC, and won 5-3. I scored a hat trick, but I was still disappointed with my own performance as I should have scored five goals. The other goals were scored by Paul and Lucas. It felt great that we managed to pick up our first points of the season, and we sung the TSVV Merlijn song in the dressing room after the game to celebrate the victory.
When we returned to Merlinello, our fantastic facility, we had a few beers and some food. I got to know some of my teammates better. The first team had won their game as well and is now top of the league after two games.There were more players of the first team that stayed than from the second team, but I didn’t mind, because I intend to play for the first team soon anyway. As Café Brandpunt is our main sponsor we went there for some free beer, and the night ended at Café Polly Magoo.
